September Favorites!

Hello and welcome to my very first-ever favorites blog post!
Truthfully, this post is going to be a little bit of a "back-to-school" favorites post as well; going back to school definitely changes up the products I reach for often. Also, the changing of seasons means me pulling out different makeup products to play with!
Rebekah's September Favorites!

China Glaze's Merry Berry

Fall isn't complete without my go-to fall/winter nail polish color! China Glaze's Merry Berry is a beautiful deep red-colored polish. It's a stretch to consider it a true "berry" tone, but if you squint hard enough you can see it. Opaque in two coats, application is easy and I know I'll be wearing this color over and over the next few months. ^_^

Wet and Wild's Color Icon Blush in Berry Shimmer
Following the berry trend, my favorite blush last month was Wet and Wild's Color Icon Blush in Berry Shimmer. This particular shade is, in my opinion, truly a 'berry tone," it is extremely pigmented and wear time over a decent foundation is actually quite nice. The packaging itself leaves a lot to be desired; there's this sad excuse for a brush that should only be used if the wearer wants to add some brush hairs to their cheeks (mine went straight into the storage drawer) but the product itself is simply beautiful  The biggest reason why this blush is in my favorites? It costs $3. *____________* Enough said.

NYX's Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in Iced Mocha
I've been loving my NYX these past two months and this product is no exception. NYX's Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in Iced Mocha is a quick, easy way for me to swipe some color on the lids when I'm in a rush. I've had several instances where I'll throw this in my backpack and just apply while I'm on the bus, HAHAH. Dark enough to wear alone, in the crease, or as a base, Iced Mocha is a thinner cream formula that is easy to blend in with a finger. This is the ultimate lazy girl product.

Bareminerals eyeshadow in Iced Coffee
I always find myself pulling out this little friend when the leaves start to change colors and it starts to get a little colder outside. Bare Minerals Eyeshadow in Iced Coffee was one of the first makeup presents I ever received on my 16th birthday from one of my cousins. I've treasured it dearly and use it so sparingly it's also embarrassing. Iced Coffee is a beautiful bronzy-brown that is a great standalone shade, but lately I've been pairing it with my Jumbo Eyeshadow pencil in Iced Mocha
for a longer-lasting, more intense lid that is still wearable.

Next is another NYX product that I've raved about: Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Tea Rose. I have an entire blog post about it here, so I'll just move on...

Last but not least, my newest favorite mascara. Maybelline's The Rocket Waterproof has quickly shot up my list of holy grail mascaras. To put things in perspective for everyone, I am incredibly picky with what mascara I use. My lashes are stick-straight, terrible at holding curl, and because my left eye's tear duct is blocked, I need a mascara that doesn't run when I'm constantly tearing up. My last true holy grail mascara was Lo'real's Voluminous Million Lashes Waterproof mascara. I purchased six tubes of that in succession. An unknown force compelled me to look into a new mascara, and after a few duds, I picked this one up. I'll just let the little awkward, slightly creepy animation below speak for itself...
Maybelline The Rocket Mascara Demo

And that is all for this month! I apologize for the strange appearance, I somehow got a stye over the weekend and haven't felt safe putting on any kind of eye makeup until today because it has gone down. My eyelid is a peeling and disgusting *hurk* It's extremely frustrating for me because I have no clue how it happened, especially because I don't let anyone touch my makeup. *sigh*

Thank you all for reading! I'd love to hear about what your monthly/Fall favorites are! :)

  1. Can I just take a moment to appreciate your blog name omg
I love love LOVE Wet N Wild's blushes, and the fact that they're $4 CDN just makes everything better. I haven't tried 'Berry Shimmer' yet, but I know I'll be picking that up next!
YOUR LASHES IN THE GIF KEEP GROWING AND I PROBABLY NEED TO OPEN UP MY PACKAGE OF 'THE ROCKET' NOW.

  2. teehee thank you Vanessa! ^_^ I'm still obsessively wearing that blush at this very moment HAHAH. I found that the Rocket's formula gets better and better once you let it dry a little, but that might just be because I have such hard to curl lashes...
    Thank you for visiting! :D

    1. NO SHAME.
Yeah, I think a lot of formulas work better once they've dried out a bit. DARN THESE ASIAN LASHES.

      No problem! c:
