Becks' Holy Grail: Drugstore Eyeliners!

Hello Everyone, Happy (early) Labor Day!
I am back again with some more reviews for you. This time, with one of my favorite makeup essentials: eyeliner.
After a couple years of searching, I have narrowed down my favorite eyeliners to just three: pencil, gel/cream, and liquid. The Golden-Holy Grail-Trio. The best part? THEY'RE FROM THE DRUGSTORE HOORAY!
The Holy Grail

I'm going to be honest with everyone. I am not a huge fan of pencil liners. *cringe* I've always liked sharp, crisp clean lines and the fact that I have to continually sharpen my pencil to get a clean line (while wasting product!) was always so upsetting. But on those days when I don't feel like myself and want a smoked-out, smudged eyeliner, this is what I reach for:

Milani Liquif'eye Metallic Eye Liner in 01 Black
The Milani Liquif'eye Metallic Eye Liner Pencil is a true drugstore gem. I still cannot get over how buttery-smooth this applies to the lid: no skipping, tugging, or dragging whatsoever! This pencil sets after a few seconds, but gives you just enough time to go in with a small brush and smoke it out, if you wish. *I want to note that this liner DOES NOT do well in the upper/lower waterline.* I do wish that this pencil was automatic, so I wouldn't have to waste so much product when sharpening it. However, the quality of the product itself  is just great, and I'm willing to have to deal with sharpening. And at $6 a pop, these pencils are perfect in my book.

Next, the former bane of my makeup existence: liquid liners. I, like many teenage girls first starting out with makeup, picked up a random liquid liner to start my makeup experience, thinking that it would be the easiest thing ever. Boy, was I wrong. Ever since my first disastrous attempts with liquid liner, I swore off of it... until I found this.

Maybelline Line Stiletto in Blackest Black
Maybelline Line Stiletto... I love you. *cries tears of joy* I picked this up because I thought it looked similar to the Lancome Artliner, which many youtube gurus/makeup bloggers swear by. After a couple days of experimenting, I realized that this product is probably the easiest liquid liner I have ever applied. Jet-black, it dries to a matte finish and doesn't budge. The felt-tip gives a smooth, crisp line that I just love. My winged/cat eye has never looked better. :) And at about $8, my wallet looks pretty and plump as well.

Last, but definitely not least, my gel/cream liner pick. I absolutely love gel liners. I feel that they're the perfect blend between the intensity of a liquid liner and the ease of application of a pencil liner. You can get that crisp, sharp wing, that mysterious smudged-out line... anything you wish. With that being said, here is my holy grail eyeliner, something I could not live without:

L'oreal Infallible Lacquer Liner in Blackest Black
L'oreal's Infallible Lacquer Liner IS THE BOMB. So smooth, so creamy and just so dark. When applied with an angled liner brush, this product just does whatever you want it to do and stays. No smudging, no awkward skipping/dragging over the lid, and no transfer onto the rest of your lid, which I've found is a problem with other gel liners. This is the liner I reach for when I'm in a rush, just because I know it'll always make me look polished and put-together. At anywhere from $7-10, this product is just amazing. *You can use this product for ages before it dries out*

Swatches: ( L to R) Milani, Maybelline,  L'oreal
Well! That was all of them, my three Holy Grail drugstore eyeliners. Thank you SO MUCH for reading, and talk to all of you again soon!
*Disclaimer: All of these products were purchased by me, for personal use. All my reviews are my own, honest opinions.*
